The dragon fruit (more known as Pitahaya) grows on a plant of the cactus family. It has its roots in Latin America, but can now also be found in Southeast Asia and Israel. We obtain our paste from its natural origin in Ecuador.
Due to its red or yellow colour, it is often used as decoration or spooned as a delicacy like a kiwi in its growing countries. The beautiful bright colour of the fruit flesh also makes the dragon fruit in paste form an ideal addition to various products. Due to its good binding power, it is mainly found in bars.
