Description
The grape is undoubtedly the best-known dried fruit and we have been familiar with it for decades in a wide variety of products.

Sultanas are dried from a light-coloured grape. While these sultanas used to be used as a sweetener, nowadays sultanas are sold commercially as a stand-alone product.

Sultanas are cultivated in many different locations. California, for example, is one of the largest cultivation countries with an annual production of 350,000 tonnes. It is also cultivated in large quantities in Turkey, Iran and China.

The grapes are placed between the vines on paper sheets and after a few days they are also covered with paper. During this time, the sultana’s ferment to their specific colour. The residual moisture is about 12%. We mainly trade the standard quality and size, type 9 Std A or AA, but we can also offer all other sizes and qualities. All our fruits are unsulphured. We can also offer to cut the fruit into small pieces.

We carry sultanas from different growing areas and are therefore independent of harvest problems or economic upheavals in the countries. Due to high price fluctuations or import restrictions, individual origins may not be available.
