Description

The plum is a stone fruit that is consumed all over the world and can be found in abundance in Germany.

Nowadays, production is mainly based in California, France, Chile and Argentina.

After harvesting, the plums are dried down to a residual moisture of 15% in hot air lines. They can be stored in this condition. Shortly before they are sold, they are cleaned, washed, sorted and treated with sorbate. For our sorted dried plums, we use Chilean produce. This is softer and perfect for direct packaging.

For the goods that we cut ourselves, we use unsorted fruit. We obtain the raw material for the cut plums from Bulgaria. Organic dried plums are also offered from there. During the cutting process, we add rice flour to the product to ensure a loose, non-glutinous product. During the cutting process, our goods are sorted by hand, so we can guarantee an excellent 99.9% freedom from fruit stones.
